โFAQ's
How does it work FAQ's
Do the strategy vaults charge fees?
No, there are no fees for using the vaults. The only fees that funds will be exposed to are the standard fees from interacting with Y2K markets.
Who will launch new strategies?
Our team will be deciding what strategies should be launched based on our markets and feedback from the community.
Who will manage the strategies?
We have an internal strategy team exploring new strategy ideas and finding new hooks we can connect to our vaults.
When can I deposit into a vault?
You can deposit into a vault at any time. If the vault has an active position in Y2K markets, your deposited funds will be held in a queue and then deposited once the active position is closed.
When can I withdraw from the vault?
You can withdraw from the vault whenever the active position is closed. If the active position isnโt closed, your withdrawal request will be made and funds can be withdrawn once the active position closed.
How does the vault auto-compound?
The vault deposits to Y2K markets every week and uses the proceeds from each week to deposit in the following weeks. This means funds that are being accrued are being added to the balance and invested back into markets, which is auto-compounding.
How does the vault access multiple markets?
The vault holds all funds that have been deposited to it and has a configured strategy such as deposit funds equally into USDC_997, DAI_967, and FRAX_990 markets. This lets you deposit into a single vault and your funds to be deployed across multiple markets without needing any management from you.
Can I deposit funds to as many strategy vaults as I want?
Yes. Each strategy vault will have a different strategy and there may be some crossover but you can deposit to as many vaults as you would like.
When does the strategy vault deposit to Y2K markets?
If the vault has an active position then it will be closed once the markets it is active in are closed or settled. Then the vault will deposit funds back into Y2K markets before the deposit period has closed for the upcoming epoch.
Situation FAQS
What happens if I make a withdrawal request and forget to withdraw before the next active position is made?
Your withdrawal request will still be valid and the contract will hold your funds from being used in future active positions. This will mean you can withdraw when you are ready but the funds that have been requested to be withdrawn will not be earning any extra yield.
What happens if the Y2K market position makes money?
The gains in the market would be applied to all deposited in the vault based on the number of shares they have.
For example: Alice has 20 shares and Bob has 80 shares. The strategy vault balance increases from 1 ETH to 1.1ETH. Aliceโs position would increase in value from 0.2 ETH to 0.22 ETH and Bobโs position would increase from 0.8 ETH to 0.88 ETH.
What happens if the Y2K market position depegs and the vault is on the collateral side?
If the Y2K market depegs and the vault has a collateral position then the vault will take a loss on that position. The loss will be applied to all depositors in the vault based on the number of shares they have.
For example: Alice has 20 shares and Bob has 80 shares. The strategy vault deposits 1 ETH equally into Y2K markets A and B but market A has a depeg event. The 0.5 ETH deposited to market A may be worth 0.05 ETH after the depeg which means the vault would receive 0.05 ETH from market A and 0.5 ETH from market B (plus premium) leading to a total of 0.55 ETH.
Aliceโs share in the vault would be worth 0.2 ETH before and 0.11 ETH afterwards whilst Bobโs shares would be worth 0.8 ETH before and 0.44 ETH afterwards.
What happens if the Y2K market doesnโt depeg and the vault is on the premium side?
The loss accrued would be applied to all deposited in the vault based on the number of shares they have.
For example: Alice has 20 shares and Bob has 80 shares ETH. The strategy vault balance decreases from 1 ETH to 0.9ETH. Aliceโs position would decrease in value from 0.2ETH to 0.18ETH and Bobโs position would decrease from 0.8ETH to 0.72ETH.
